Welcome Bidder Blacklist. I'll assume you are part and parcel of the site. I've joined.
Blacklist are definitely going to be a commodity! I teased a fine friend who's kept up with seller names proven by experience to have caused grief for grief's sake on eBay, how she finally had something of real value to sell.
I also have a concept I'd love to sell you on as a feature. Email me privately if you are open to compensating me for my idea presented as a privately disclosed non-competitive option.
EBay had to have known for some time that games are being played. Sometimes it's to off the competition but there's also a horrid habit of treating eBay as if it were a market place pinball machine. I think that's just getting geared up!
Your headline graphic and statement certainly are almost understated! I also think there is a great vortex to come. "That giant sucking sound", comes to mind. There's definitely a shifting in the online market place. Might liken it to an earthquake.

Well, here's the run down [Smile]
Negative feedback doesn't hurt a buyer (unless they're buying and selling on the same account). Any buyer with a 50% feedback rating can bid on my auctions, so citing the reason for bidder blacklist as the result of ebay removing feedback rights against buyers is kind of silly.
However, by that same token, a bidder black list is in fact a good idea to protect sellers. The mere existence for the blacklist is justification enough, ebay's moves are largely irrelevant.
The real threat of removing a seller's voice is that buyers that are under the impression that a negative feedback mark hurts their rating, will now be uninhibited. You see, the misunderstanding about the feedback system and how it affects buyers and sellers is enough for buyers to hold back on using their, "bullet" for fear of retaliation. But for someone that only buys, this fear is false. Still, there are those buyers that, through believing that a negative will hurt them, will not give unwarranted negative feedback.
I'd change the wording on your main page just a bit, but other than that I think you have a fantastic idea on your hands. I'm not certain that a large number of people would block every buyer on your site, but it's worth a try! Keep us posted!

When it comes to sellers sharing their blocked bidders lists, nothing beats RepXchange.com in power and flexibility.
With this site, sellers can (for FREE) share and download custom blocked bidders lists that match each seller's unique business profile. The goal of this service is NOT to simply fill sellers' blocked bidders list with a lot of names; when sellers do so, they are potentially losing good buyers in with the bad. On RepXchange sellers can be very specific about the buyers they want to block, thus allowing them to focus on servicing profitable customers..
